This monument to the N.Y. Vols. 107 is in front of the Chemung County Court and Clerks office.

"A Civil War soldier stands with proper left leg extended forward, his foot over the edge of the base. He holds a rifle with both hands at the top of the barrel with the butt grounded in front of his proper right foot. His head is turned slightly down and to the proper right. He wears a billed cap which is pushed forward, a "US" cartridge box on his proper right hip, a knee-length coat and a short cape. The sculpture is mounted on a tiered base with a crested cornice and a star in relief in the crest at the front. Below this is a laurel wreath in relief containing the number "107" in the center."

The front has N.Y. Vols. under the wreath with 107. The dates 1861-1865 are on the third tier of the base. Battles are listed on three sides on the fourth tier.
