[FR] Le long de la célèbre Chaussée Brunehaut, qui conduit d'Arras à Thérouanne, on peut découvrir à Ferfay, quasiment en face de l'église, dans le parc de l'ancien château, la très curieuse chapelle Sainte Mélanie. Bâtie dans le style néo-Renaissance en 1826 par la famille Hinnisdael, une famille célèbre de l'Artois, elle remplace la chapelle précédente qui datait de 1541. Cette chapelle funéraire, aujourd'hui en fort mauvais était, abrite les dépouilles d'Henriette d'Hinnisdael, victime du grand incendie du Bazar de la Charité à Paris en 1887, et de Thérèse d'Hinnisdael, qui inspira Marcel Proust pour le personnage d'Albertine dans son chef d'oeuvre "A la recherche du temps perdu".
