Stagecoach House is also known as McElroy-Severn House. The house and post office served the travelers of the Old San Antonio Road beginning in 1875.

When the railroad set up the town of Buda nearby in 1880 the post office moved there and the building was converted to ranch use. The Railroad also brought an end to the need for a stagecoach stop.
These buildings are now part of Stagecoach Heritage Park.
