From the National Register Nomination form:
Situated on a narrow lot in the south-central part of the city of Spearfish, the Webb S. Knight House is a very simple version of Queen Anne domestic housing. Rising from a stone foundation, the L-shaped wood frame dwelling is clad with clapboard siding. It is capped by a steeply pitched cross gable roof covered with wood and asphalt shingles. Two brick chimneys rise from the center of the roof. A small open porch with delicate turned posts and brackets is located on the southwest corner of the west (front) facade.  Fenestration is asymmetrical. Most windows are long rectangular units surrounded by contemporary wooden non-functional shutters and original heavy architraves. Multiple-pane picture windows are located on the west and north
facades. Except for remodeling of the kitchen, the interior remains much as it was originally built, including plaster walls and ceilings and simple woodwork.
The house appears to be well maintained and continues to serve as a private residence.
