Park Memorial Cemetery is very well maintained by the city of Castlegar. It is about 8 acres in size with large trees along the roadways. We visited this cemetery recently for the second time. When walking in we recalled why we did not photograph it the first time, as this is a very large cemetery and would consider it plain in its presentation. All grave markers are flush to the ground with most overgrown with lawn. There is one small columbarium about midway in the cemetery.
We estimate approximately 1,700 interments as the records for Find a Grave only go back with one record in 2014.
We had a dual purpose in visiting this cemetery as we were on the quest of photo requests and were able to find all 15. While looking for the requests we did locate the gravesite of Mary Campbell who was 101 when she passed away.
