The Goose Flies Over the Moon overlooks the Columbia and Kootenay Rivers. Soaring high above, this is a most fitting display of the Canadian goose. This is another example of the craftsmanship of two outstanding artists: Kevin Kratz and James Karthein.

The sculpture is quite tall and the goose is mounted on a waning quarter moon with a circular base.

Millennium Walkway was officially opened in 2001, since then it has become one of the major recreational destinations for locals and tourists from around the world. Enjoy sandy beaches, newly developed natural ponds for wading and swimming, interpretive walkways near the confluence of the Columbia and Kootenay Rivers and Tin Cup Rapids. There are benches and picnic tables, washrooms and the new Celgar Pavilion all provided for your enjoyment.
