Belliveau Cove is on the
Bay of Fundy, home of the world's highest tides and the post office, a stock wood frame building with a low gable roof and vinyl siding, is right across the road from the Belliveau Cove Harbour. The road is Highway 1, the
Evangeline Trail, a very scenic drive up the coast of the bay.
Near the post office is a
webcam which is aimed at the harbour. It you wish to see the tide in action, click on the link, then hover on the webcam pic. At the bottom will appear a slider, with which one may replay the whole day. If one should move the slider to a time of the day when the tide is out and the fishing fleet is in, one will see the boats sitting on the bottom, with nary a drop of water under them.
Another sight one should not miss when in the area is the
LARGEST Wooden Church in North America, Sainte Marie Church at Church Point, about 7.5 kilometres south down Highway 1. It is HUGE, 190 feet to the top of its cross and 190 feet in length, and truly a magnificent piece of woodwork.
