Lake City, SC. is hosting a series of special events to mark the 18th anniversary of the Challenger accident and to acknowledge the new resting place of Dr. Ronald E. McNair on March 15, 2004
The town has converted the old library property into the Dr. Ronald E. McNair Memorial Park, The Ronald E. McNair Life History Center, and McNair's tomb where Dr. McNair is now laid to rest.
Several NASA officials joined in the ceremonial events of remembrance.
