On Marine Drive-Highway 7 at the mouth of the Moser River, the community of Moser River is a fishing and lumbering village on the south coast of Nova Scotia.

In a very rural area of Nova Scotia, the nearest town of any size is Sheet Harbour-East River, about 30 kilometres to the west. Sheet Harbour and East River run into each other, spreading along Marine Drive.
The Moser River post office is one of those 60s-70s brick buildings built to a cookie cutter design. It stands on the west side of Marine Drive, about a half a kilometre west and south from the Moser River business section, which consists of a Kwik Way food store, the fire hall and what once was a gas station.
REPEAT WARNING - there are a great many tiny villages and communities in this neck of the woods without gas stations.
