Silent sentinel sculpture. An aging World War II veteran, depicted in the bronze sculpture, known as "Poppies," quietly surveys Farmers Branch Liberty Plaza from his bench on the Veterans Walk of Honor. Donated to the City by the Arts Foundation of Farmers Branch, "Poppies" was dedicated on Veterans Day, 2000.
