"Bailey Hall, designed by Edward B. Green, who graduate from Cornell in 1878, was first used in June of 1913. Today the hall is named after Liberty Hyde Bailey (1856-1954), the first Dean of the College of Agriculture. As Parsons notes in The Cornell Campus, "Liberty Hyde Bailey supplied most of the initiative and a great deal of the drive and intelligence behind the expansion of the Cornell College of Agriculture between 1903 and 1913."

"Many campus registered student groups and cultural organizations, which possess the ability to draw audiences in excess of 500 attendees, perform at Bailey Hall."
"The Cornell Concert Series has been hosting musicians and ensembles of international stature since 1903. Originally featuring Western classical artists, the series has grown to encompass a broader spectrum of the world's great art musics."
"The Department of Music sponsors more than a hundred concerts on campus each year, given by faculty members, students, performing ensembles, and distinguished visiting artists."
