The new bench, installed in November 2015 as a part of Blessington Tidy Towns effort, has a quote attributed to the British author Alan Alexander Milne (1882-1956):
Sometimes I sits and thinks
Sometimes I just sits
The quote doesn't come from Milne's Winnie the Pooh books, although it is something Pooh could say. A quick search online points to a 1906 Punch cartoon as the original source.
