"Welcome to FAIRVIEW FIRE and RESCUE ASSOCIATION INC. located in the northern section of Union County North Carolina. The Fire Department was established in 1967 to serve the citizens of the Fairview and Goose Creek communities. The Fire department is 100% volunteer and has a insurance rating of 5/9E. and a membership of 40. Our first response district consist of 34.55 square miles in which approximately 50% is protected by fire hydrants.We have a permanent resident population of 5000. The department operates five pieces of apparatus, two engines, one tanker/pumper,one rescue and one brush truck. Fairview Fire & Rescue not only provides fire protection to the community but first response emergency medical service as well. The department averages 250 to 300 calls to service each year."
