"Col. William Rose fought in the Patriot Army of the American Revolution. He enlisted in Connecticut, and served as a Private. After his term of service was up, he re-enlisted and worked his way up to the rank of Colonel (Col.). The above information was summarized from a Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) application submitted by Frederick E. Page, a lawyer and genealogist, of Bingamtonton, NY, in March 1953, and approved by the SAR."
