There are a lot of trails to the top of "Pfänder" where you have a 360° panorama view and a great overlook over the Lake of Constance.
Pfänder (1064m), the best known view mountain over Lake of Constance is a paradise for travellers and mountain bikers. This easy tour is suitable particularly for families.
I started from Bregenz city and the "Pfänderbahn" (N 47 30.272 E 009 45.166) brings me in only six minutes on the summit of the "Pfänder" (N 47 30.362 E 009 46.782). There leads at first a small asphalted way to "Gasthaus Pfänderdohle", where the waymark is waiting at N 47° 30.230 E 009° 46.778.
From there you have a lot of interesting possibilities. For the 8km hike a grit way leads down to Fluh and from there you can find the way over "Gebhardsberg" back to Bregenz. Everywhere there are signs away to Bregenz point.
I took the straight way trough the woods back to Bregenz. A little bit shorter (5km), but it is a nature trail with a very small footpath. The way runs mainly in the wood, so that he is also to be mastered well on hot summer days. Nevertheless, one has nice vantage points down on Lake of Constance over and over again (N 47 30.335 E 009 46.021). Lindau island is to be found easy. The look after southwest shows the Rhine dam which leads in the lake.
