[FR] Les plateaux sont ainsi traversés par des patios double hauteur plantés d’arbres qui participent à la régulation thermique et hygrométrique de l’ensemble. Les eaux de pluie sont récupérées et utilisées pour l’arrosage du jardin intérieur. Celui-ci, situé au coeur de l’immeuble, diffuse son harmonie verdoyante depuis le rez-de chaussée jusqu’aux étages supérieurs.
« Notre concept architectural, déclare Norman Foster, est né de la conviction que le lieu où nous évoluons a une incidence directe sur notre qualité de vie et notre environnement. Nous voulions que l’environnement urbain du quartier interagisse avec le lieu de travail, pour un bien-être absolu. C’est un nouveau concept de bureaux totalement innovant qui combine judicieusement écologie, lumière, confort, performance… »
L’immeuble « France Avenue » a été construit par Sorif, filiale de Vinci et acheté par le fonds d’investissement allemand Difa.
[EN] The building occupies an entire new city block, surrounded by streets on four sides, and located on the corner of the major roads: France Avenue and Rue Neuve Tolbiac
Internal and external gardens form a counterpoint between the office space, and between the building and the surrounding streets.
The environmental concept of the building includes rainwater recovery for use in these gardens and provision of heating and cooling through the Paris district distribution system.
The primary south and west facades have individually adjustable motorized glass louvres in front of fully glazed facades which provide shading and create an ever-changing appearance of shade, light and reflection.
