The plaque is attached to a rock in Pelham Reserve,Toodyay, the plaque was established to honour the memory of James Drummond a prominent West Australian botanist of the 19th century, who explored, identified and named a great number of Australia flora.

The plaque is inscribed -

A pioneer farmer of this district
1836 - 1863
Born at Hawthornden Scotland 1784
Arrived at Swan River Colony 16th June 1829
