Located in Desert Memorial Park Cemetery and just north of celebrity and congressman Sono Bono's grave is a circular structure made of a flag pole, inlaid pavers, headstones and trees that form what's known as 'Americas Plaza.' At the base of the flag pole is a marble plaque that reads:

AMERICAS PLAZA

DEDICATED TO THE LAWMAKERS AND
PUBLIC SERVANTS OF OUR COMMUNITY
ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF CONGRESSMAN
SONNY BONO'S DEATH

DONATED BY WIEFELS & SON FUNERAL HOME
