The English portion of this sign reads:
"'Under the Providence and the Golden Crown' Tenement House
Formed in the middle of the 19th century by merger of two houses erected in the 14th century.
From the North side, it housed a well-known printing house (inter alia the Groehl's),
established by Josef Louis in s neo-Gothic styl from the 17th to the 19th centuries.
From the South side, the Apotheca Magna was set up around 1423, converted
in 1603 into the 'Under the Gold Crown' pharmacy which existed until 2001.
One of its last owners was Leszek Krowczynski, a Professor
of Pharmacy at Jagiellonian Univerity.'
