Rixey is in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and is a suburb of North Little Rock. This Trail of Tears sign is located near the driveway of a Baptist Church with the address of 8205 Hwy 161 N, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
I did a little internet research for "Rixey" but the only thing that surfaced was regarding a contaminated piece of land that is used as a scrap yard for batteries. I could not find who the area is named for or if they had a connection to the Trail of Tears.
