14. Old Burial Hill, just beyond the Old Brig on Orne St., dates from 1638 and contains the graves of no less than 600 Revolutionary heroes. The low white Obelisk on the crest of the hill honors 65 Marblehead fisherman who lost their lives in a great gale in 1846. From the hill is obtained a panoramic view of Marblehead Harbor, the summer yachting center of the eastern seaboard.

Old Burial Hill is located amid a lot of residential properties. Other than the build up of properties, with Marblehead being a very much desired place to live, it probably is not much different than it was in the 1600's.
