The sculpture is across from city hall. On the base is the "I have a dream" excerpt. King is leading two children, a boy and a girl. On his cloak are bas relief of protesters and Rosa Park. The little girl is holding a book. On the back of the piece is the quote: " say that I was a drum major, say that I was a drum major for justice, say that I was a drum major for peace, I was a drum major for righteousness."
