While they're not necessarily uncommon in some parts of Texas, it's not unusual to see a cattle crossing sign, especially as cattle are often pretty good about getting to where they shouldn't be. Definitely be on the lookout for a wanderer in the highway if you see one of these signs, or even if you see cattle congregating close to the fences that confine them.
