Proper Description: "A marble obelisk on a tiered marble base. On the north face is an oval marble relief portrait, possibly of J. W. T. Falkner, Sr. He has a moustache and wears a suit coat and tie. The bust portrait is surrounded by a wreath. On the south face is an oval marble relief portrait bust, possibly of Sallie Murry Falkner. She wears a high-necked blouse. Her relief is also surrounded by a wreath. The monument is in a fenced plot." ~ Smithsonian American Art Museum
