K ochrane krasových jevu i živé prírody zde Správa chránené krajinné oblasti Moravský kras vyhlásila prírodní rezervaci.

EN:
One of the most complex cave systems in the Moravian Karst is approximately 4.5 km long. It is modeled underground water Sloup brook at two main levels. For the top, geologically older levels are characterized by spacious corridors and domes with flat ceilings, filled with a wide variety of cave sediments and sinter tvaru.¨
The upper floor of the cave is open to the public. Modification date from the late 19th century, when it functioned three accessible caves (Nicov with Elišcino, old rock and Šošuvka). Elišcina cave was in 1879, as the first in Central Europe, illuminated by electric arc lamps. These separate caves were in the early 20th century artificial trench connected into one unit. Some parts of the cave is severely damaged odlámáním sinter decorations, "pay load" silver corridor. An interesting feature is the large number of signatures from the 18th and 19th centuries, among others, the signature JANegela who cave in 1748 first described and evaluated.
The last major reconstruction of the caves took place in the years 1997 - 1999 when it was incorporated into the visitors' route Black Abyss and the caves shed. Part of the cave in the rocks of Old was modified for speleotherapy.
The lower floor of the cave is not open to the public. It is made up of active riverbed Sloup brook. The upper floor is connected with underground abysses, up to 80 meters deep (abyss stepped, Vertical, Side, Nagel and Black).

To protect karst phenomena of nature and live here Managing protected area of Moravian Karst declared a nature reserve.
