18. General John Glover's House (private), 11 Glover St., built in 1762, bears a tablet recording the General's crossing of the Delaware and other military services. Glover was actually a sailor rather than a soldier, and his privateer vessel, the 'Hannah,' manned by Marbleheaders, was the first shop of what came to be the American Navy.

Built by John Glover in 1762 as his personal residence, it is altered very little since that time. It is a two story framed house with a gambrel roof and clapboard walls.
