This is a great place to visit in Praia, capital city of Cape Verde. The lighthouse is located a bit off the town and it's usually safe to walk there and around.

There is a friendly guardian who will gladly provide access to any visitors for 1 Eur (2015).

The light was originally generated by gas, then by electricity. It's still active and there are renovation works planned for the lighthouse.
