Long Description:
"A standing figure of a Civil War soldier holding a flag is installed a top a circular base adorned with eight columns. At the foot of the base are bronze reliefs depicting the battle at Antietam and Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg. Surrounding the base are four statues of Civil War soldiers. The figures on the memorial represent each branch of military service --color guard, infantry, cavalry, navy, and artillery."
