"MOCCIA Louis - J. Moccia, 103, the eldest son of Peter and Assunta Moccia, passed away May 7, 2007. A lifelong resident of Jacksonville, he worked for the Florida Times Union from the 1920's until 1969 as a pressman. Mr. Moccia was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Pressman's Union, and the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evolyn. Survivors include his daughter, Lois J. Morgan of Palm Harbor, FL; three grandchildren, Randall Trespacz of Washington D.C., Barry Trespacz of Hull, MA; and Terri Seever of Petoskey, MI; his brothers, Emil Moccia of Jacksonville, FL and Lawrence Moccia of Marathon, FL; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2007, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Antonio Leon officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 68 p.m. Thursday (today) at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida."
