In Blue Hill, north of the center of town, is town and trust protected land that covers Blue Hill, a hill along the coast that has vistas out to Mt. Desert Island.

The hill is north of the center of town. To get to the parking lot at Morse Farm, from the center, go north on Maine Route 15 to Mountain Road, then turn right on Mountain Road and travel along it until you see the second parking lot on the right.

The web site for the Blue Hill Heritage Trust has the following about this property:

"4.5 miles of trail up and over the mountain with views of Blue Hill Bay, Acadia, and Camden Hills. The new Becton Trail offers views of Toddy Pond and Great Pond Mountain to the north."

There are several properties that are patched together. One is the Morse Farm on Blue Hill property, which is owned by the town. Surrounding it are several parcels that are owned by the Blue Hill Heritage Trust. The acreage is a rough estimate and is likely low. The trust continues to maintain and add to these lands. They maintain several trails, including the new Becton Trail. There are other properties that the trust owns in the area, as well.

There is no fee, at least at the Morse Farm entrance. A sign that we saw stated that dogs must be kept on a leash.
