The family name, "Hagberg", is at the top of the front of the headstone, with the following inscription:

Andrew Hagberg
1859 - 1910

Here rests a Woodman of the World.

--

Remember, the Woodmen of the World don't "lie," they "rest."

While there are many Woodmen of the World buried in Greenwood Cemetery (and a few across the road in Calvary Cemetery), there is a dedicated Woodmen of the World plot with quite a few different varieties of grave markers. The plot has stumps at all four corners, and the "entrance" also has two stumps. Both are marked with the Woodmen emblem, one with a ribbon saying "Grapevine Camp No. 20" and the other with a ribbon saying "Silver Leaf Camp No. 8."

Be on the lookout for the grave of Roger Clinton, across the road from the Woodmen: He gave his surname to his stepson, William Jefferson Blythe III, whom we know best as "President Bill Clinton."
Was the inscription legible?: Yes
