Charles Richard Yarborough served as a Justice of the Peace in Henderson County. He is also the father of U. S. Senator Ralph Webster Yarborough (D-TX) and it was in the above mentioned home that Charles administered the Oath of Office to his son in 1959 when Ralph began Congressional service.
Longevity runs in the Yarborough family. His son Ralph lived to age 92 and his daughter Nell (Yarborough) Mallet lived to age 105.
