The attractive moving crib, installed in one of the oldest buildings in Frýdlant, was created by Gustav Simon, a native of Frýdlant. The crib is situated in the room where the sculptor spent a considerable part of his life.

The work lasted more than 60 years. The nativity scene was not made available to the public until it was complete. First, the figures were still; later a clock mechanism was added and the figures started moving. At present, due to the mechanism and a rope, more than a hundred figures - people and animals - are moving.

V jedné z nejstarších budov ve Frýdlante je umísten zajímavý pohyblivý betlém, jehož autorem je zdejší rodák Gustav Simon. Betlém je umísten v bývalé obytné místnosti tvurce tohoto díla, v níž strávil velkou cást svého života.

Stavba jeslicek trvala déle než 60 let, než mohly být predvedeny verejnosti. Zpocátku byly nepohyblivé, teprve v následujících letech byl vestaven hodinový stroj a jednotlivé postavy se zacaly pohybovat. Dnes se v betlému pomocí hodinového stroje a provazové šnury pohybuje pres sto figur lidí a zvírat.
