On small green beside A2 London Road. Junction in background is Playstool Road. The signpost has a small metal plaque, which reads 'In memory of Ted Allen, Parish Councillor 1987-1997'. It was put up in 2009.

The carvings at the top of the sign show in the centre St Mary's church, which is flanked by some oast houses and a timber framed house. The centre of the main plaque shows cherry pickers (the area, including Sittingbourne, was once a patchwork of cherry orchards, most sadly now gone). To the right is a Roman centurion, depicting links with the Romans (the A2 London Road, was a main Roman road to Londinium, and several Roman remains have been found in the village). The runner on the right is of unknown origin, bur cross-country running seems popular in the area. Bottom right is the village crest, depicting cherries, the church (cross), and the Swale Swallow.
