A Neo-Gothic chateau in the romantic valley of the tiny river Mohelka. In the 15th cent, there was only a small fortress, a stone mansion and in the 17th cent, a Baroque chateau. In 1820 the chateau went through an Empire adaptation, then it acquired a Neo-Gothic appearance and an English park was founded. Today there is a large castle collection and "Rohan's gallery" - the largest Central European collection'of French portrait art.

Novogotický zámek v romantickém údolí rícky Mohelky. V 15. stol. zde byla jen nevelká tvrz, pak panský kamenný dum a v 17. stol. barokní zámek. V roce 1820 koupil zámek kníže Gabriel Rohan, který uskutecnil empírovou prestavbu. Jeho nástupce, kníže Idelsbald Rohan, dal zámku novogotickou podobu a založil kolem anglický park. Dnes je zde po Konopišti nejrozsáhlejší zámecká sbírka a tzv. "rohanská galerie" - nejrozsáhlejší stredoevropská sbírka francouzského portrétního umení. Pobýval zde a komponoval skladatel A. Dvorák. Konají se zde svatby a hudební festivaly.
