This sculpture titled "Flying Torso" is on the Vanderbilt Medical Center. It is along Garland Ave a few blocks from the Vanderbilt University baseball stadium.
The sculpture was created by Alan LeQuire and was a gift to the Vanderbilt School of Medicine from Phi Chi medical fraternity. LeQuire is a popular artist around Nashville, having created a number of pieces throughout the city. He was the artist for the Athena sculpture at the nearby Parthenon replica.
