There used to live a beautiful and wise nun in the monastery in Mary's Valley (today Oslavany Chateau (
visit link) ) who helped poor and ill people. A young priest who was on his mission in the church above the monastery fell in love with her. It was a big and mutual love with necessary consequences. After some time the nun found out to be expecting a baby with the priest. When the abbess learnt of it, obsessed with anger she came to a decision which even cry, lamentation and pleas of the other nuns could not avoid. She ordered to immure the beautiful nun and her child alive in a niche from where you can still hear their weak cry. She sometimes appears, dressed in white, with the child in her arms and sadly looking towards the church above the monastery.
When many years later the other nuns were running away from the monastery to hide from the Hussite army, the Oslavany abbess lost her hood on one of the hills when running away. The hill has been bearing the name Kukla (Hood) since then.

V kláštere v Údolí Mariine (dnes zámek Oslavany) kdysi krásná a moudrá jeptiška a ta pomáhala chudým a nemocným lidem. Zahorel k ní láskou jeden mladý knez, který byl misijne pridelen do kostelíku nad klášterem. Láska to byla veliká a vzájemná, což se neobešlo bez následku. Po nejaké dobe jeptiška zjistila, že s knezem ceká díte. Když se o všem dovedela abatyše, posedlá hnevem dospela k rozhodnutí, od kterého ji neodradil ani plác, nárek ci prosby ostatních jeptišek. Nechala krásnou jeptišku i s dítetem zaživa zazdít do výklenku, z nehož se dodnes ozývá jejich slabý nárek. Obcas se krásná jeptiška zjevuje bíle odená, s dítetem v nárucí a smutne se dívá smerem ke kostelíku nad klášterem.
Když o mnoho let pozdeji prchaly ostatní jeptišky z kláštera pred husitským vojskem, ztratila oslavanská abatyše pri úteku na jednom z kopcu svoji kuklu. Od té doby se tomuto kopci ríká Kukla.
