This rock and mineral display is part of the Fernie Visitor Centre located in a room adjacent to the lobby.
The display is mostly indigenous rocks and minerals from the local and surrounding regions of the Kootenays.
There are small signs identifying the different rocks and minerals on display.
Along one wall are rocks and minerals that can be handled and magnifying glasses are available for a closer inspection. There are signs with information about the different rocks and minerals to assist the novice geologist.
