Nejvýznamejší archeologickou památkou Hádu z období stredoveku je zrícenina hradu Obrany. Dejiny hradu však sahají hluboko do minulosti. Navíc hrad dlouho nestál, proto se mnoho písemných zmínek nedochovalo. Založen byl približne na konci 13. století (dle nekterých pramenu 1278). Na hrade se meli ale brzy usadit zbojníci a napadat pocestné do nedalekého Brna. Meštané se proto nakonec vzbourili a v roce 1315 nebo 1316 hrad srovnali se zemí.

The most important archaeological monument snakes from the Middle Ages is the ruin of defense. But the castle's history goes back far into the past. In addition, the castle stood for a long time, so many written records preserved. It was founded around the end of the 13th century (according to some sources in 1278). The castle had but soon settle down bandits and attacking pilgrims to the nearby Brno. Therefore Townsfolk eventually rebelled and in 1315 or 1316 the castle razed to the ground.
