In 1868 the present church was completed in the traditional New England style of architecture with steeple and bell.
First Methodist in the area was around 1818 with Ira Eddy who was licensed to preach in 1791 was sent to the Western Reserve covering Farmington, Bristol, Bloomfield, Orwell and 16 other places.
