This gray metal disk is embedded in the concrete bank of the Western Canal at its intersection with Alma School Road. It is on the Southeastern edge of the abutment of the flow control gate managing water flow under the road. Across the top of the disk is stamped S.R.V.W.U.A. and on the bottom is Engineering Dept. The next line down from the top is Benchmark and below that Elev. There is a punch mark in the center of the disk and below it is Location. Beneath that the numbers 26 E 1 then 1,5 s. The disk is approximately 27 feet East of the Eastern edge of Alma School Road and at the Southern edge of the canal.
