Near Winter Haven, within the Schoodic Education and Research Center (SERC) is this memorial for those who were once stationed here when the campus was a Naval station.

To get to this location, from U.S. Route 1, look for signs to Winter Haven and take Maine Route 186 south. Follow the road through Winter Haven to the park entrance on the right. Follow the park loop to the sign on the right and enter the campus. Rockerfeller Hall is on the left. The memorial is before the hall.

The memorial is part of a design with three anchors and a flag pole. One of the anchors has a plaque with the following words:

"Dedicated to the Officer, enlisted and civilian personnel who served with the United States Navy at Naval Security Group Activity
Winter Harbor
1935-2002"

Rockerfeller Hall has an exhibit about SERC, which includes displays about the history of the naval station. It was used to break codes and locate vessels in the North Atlantic Ocean. Some of the buildings on campus today date back to the naval facility.
