This Victorian Post Box is located on the south west side of High Street South in East Ham. It is close to the junction with Barking Road and opposite Newham Town Hall and immediately outside a former police station.

The box is in poor decorative order with the paint, both red and black, being dull and peeling in places, especially on the top.

The box is in a part residential, part shopping and part office area. The town hall is opposite.
