The Town:
Rümlingen is a municipality in the district of Sissach in the canton of Basel-Land with about 390 residents.
Rümlingen was probably an alemanni foundation. It was only mentioned in a document in 1358. In the Middle Ages it belonged to the rule Homburg and came in 1305 in the possession of the Bishop of Basel, who sold the area in 1400 to the city of Basel. In 1501 Rümlingen became the center of an distinct new parish, which also included four neighboring villages.
The Town Hall:
The town hall of Rümlingen is located opposite the church on the road to Häfelfingen. The large house consists of two construction units which stand perpendicular into each other and both are provided with a half-hipped roof. I have no information about the architectural history of the house.

Rümlingen ist eine Gemeinde im Bezirk Sissach im Kanton Basel-Landschaft mit etwa 390 Einwohnern.
Rümlingen ist vermutlich eine alemannische Gründung. Es wurde erst 1358 urkundlich erwähnt. Im Mittelalter gehörte es zur Herrschaft Homburg und kam 1305 in den Besitz des Bischof von Basel, der die Gegend 1400 an die Stadt Basel verkaufte. 1501 wurde Rümlingen das Zentrum einer eigenen Kirchgemeinde, die auch vier Nachbardörfer umfasste.
Das Gemeindehaus:
Das Gemeindehaus von Rümlingen befindet sich gegenüber der Kirche an der Strasse nach Häfelfingen. Das grosse Haus besteht aus zwei Baukuben, die sich rechtwinklig durchdringen und beide mit einem Krüppelwalmdach versehen sind. Ich habe keine Informationen über die Baugeschichte des Hauses.
