The royal town of Litovel is situated in the center of the north-western part of Haná, in the valley of the Morava river whose six branches flow through the town, approximately 20 km far from Olomouc. These branches provide the town with a unique impression. Litovel is known as the Venice of Haná. Litovel with its surroundings - The microregion of Litovelsko is a very attractive touristic region.

Litovel (nemecky Littau) je mesto v okrese Olomouc v Olomouckém kraji, 18 km severozápadne od Olomouce na rece Morava, jejíchž šest ramen dodává Litovli specifický ráz. Mesto se proto také nazývá Hanácké Benátky. Jedno z ramen, Necíz, vede prímo pod radnicní veží a celým námestím.
Obrázek na TZ zachycuje mariánský sloup a radnici. Radnice je zajímavá tím, že její vež je vysoká 72 m a je jedna z nejvyšších na Morave.
