The Hawes trail is a biking and hiking trail winding around the Las Sendas community in Mesa, Arizona. Located in the Usery Mountains, this overlook is located where the Hawes trail branchs East to the pass over to the Usery Mountain Pass road. The overlook provides scenic views of the valley West to Phoenix, Mesa and beyond and South to Gilbert, Chandler, and Queen Creek. The brown cloud of pollution can also be seen hovering over the valley. The overlook can be arrived at following a 1.5 mile hike from the trailhead of the Hawes trail.
