Kostel svaté Kateriny je pozdne gotický kostel v obci Šebrov-Katerina v okrese Blansko, zapsaný na seznamu kulturních památek CR. Jde o filiální kostel farnosti Vranov u Brna.
Kostel stojí na vyvýšeném skalním ostrohu v cásti obce Svatá Katerina, kde se podle místní legendy nacházel pohanský obetní kámen. Pozdeji bylo toto místo spojováno s Cyrilem a Metodejem, kterí se zde meli roku 861 zastavit na své ceste z Olomouce do Brna a vztycit zde kríž. Na jeho míste mel být vystaven první drevený kostelík. Není tak zcela jasné, zda se u soucasného kostela jedná o novou stavbu, nebo o prestavbu nejaké stávající stavby.
Soucasná pozdne gotická podoba kostela pochází z konce 15. století, jeho stavba (ci prestavba) je spojena s rodem Cernohorských z Boskovic. Stavba probíhala patrne ve dvou fázích, pricemž presbytár byl vystaven o neco dríve než lod. Puvodne byl zrejme zasvecen sv. Petrovi a Pavlovi, o cemž by svedcil nápis na kuru.
V prubehu existence kostela se zde nekolikrát vystrídali katolictí a protestanští kneží a kostel byl proto opakovane svecen, což dokládá rada cervených konsekracních krížu vymalovaných na stenách.
Ackoliv byl kostel behem své existence nekolikrát opravován, na rozdíl od vetšiny podobných staveb nebyl nikdy prestaven ve stylu nadcházejících staletí a uchoval si tak svou puvodní pozdne gotickou podobu. V prubehu 19. století byl kostel nicméne již dosti zchátralý, proto bylo pristoupeno k jeho rekonstrukci, financované lidovou sbírkou. Práce byly dokonceny roku 1855 a v kostele byla sloužena slavnostní mše. Ve 20. letech 20. století byla opravována ponicená klenba.
Kostel je postaven z lámaného kamene. Jedná se o drobnou stavbu s polygonálním presbytárem, halovým trojlodím s krížovou klenbou a nízkou hranolovou zvonicí. Zvonice je asi do ctyr metru kamenná s navazujícím dreveným patrem. Knežište a lod jsou rozdeleny vítezným obloukem. Hlavní oltár zasvecený svaté Katerine pochází z roku 1710.
V kostele jsou stále puvodní malby, které byly odkryty pri pozdejších rekonstrukcích, a rovnež drevená socha sv. Kateriny z 15. století. Na vnitrních zdech kostela bylo odkryto množství starobylých poutních nápisu. Nápadná je absence figurálních maleb v prostoru kostela.
Kolem kostela se puvodne rozkládal hrbitov, ten však byl zrušen již roku 1581 a koncem 19. století premísten.
Pravidelné bohoslužby jsou slouženy pouze v sobotu, v posledních letech bývá kostel otevren v rámci oblíbené Noci kostelu.
V pobelohorské dobe se kostel stal velmi oblíbeným poutním místem. Byl také spojován s mnoha zázraky a uzdraveními, na které bylo upomínáno pomocí pametních desek. V 17. století je zde doložena rovnež existence obydlené poustevny.
O významu svaté Kateriny coby poutního místa svedcí i existence rímského papežského breve z roku 1733, které zarucuje udelení odpustku poutníkum navštevujícím kostel.
Tradice poutí zustala zachována až do dnešních casu. Konají se v léte okolo svátku Cyrila a Metodeje a v listopadu na den sv. Kateriny.
Kolem vzniku kostela se objevuje rada nejasností. Kvalita a charakter stavby úplne neodpovídají prostému venkovskému kostelu; jedná se o stavbu s nárocnejší dispozicí a výzdobou. Je možné, že by kostel mohl být vystaven za nejakým významnejším úcelem. Tomu by mohla napovídat také existence hrobky umístené pod podlahou kostela. Ta byla odkryta behem oprav v 1. polovine 19. století, bylo v ní však nalezeno pouze nekolik poškozených drevených rakví. Nevíme však, komu hrobka mela puvodne sloužit.

Church of St. Catherine is a late Gothic church in the village Šebrov-Catherine in Blansko, written on the list of cultural monuments of the Czech Republic. It is a branch church of the parish Vranov u Brna.
The church stands on a high rocky promontory at the village of St. Catherine, where according to local legend, found pagan sacrificial stone. Later this place was associated with Cyril and Methodius, who were here since 861 to stop on their way from Olomouc to Brno and erect a cross. In his place was to be built the first wooden church. Not entirely clear whether or not the present church is a new construction or remodeling an existing building.
The current late-Gothic appearance of the church dates from the late 15th century, its construction (or reconstruction) is associated with the family of Montenegrin Boskovic. Construction took place probably in two stages, the chancel was built a little earlier than the ship. It was originally dedicated to St. apparently. Peter and Paul, as testified by the inscription on the bark.
During the existence of the church here several times and Catholic and Protestant priests and the church was consecrated again because, as evidenced by a series of consecration red crosses painted on the walls.
Although the church during its existence repaired several times, unlike most similar buildings has never been rebuilt in the style of the coming centuries, has maintained that its original late-Gothic appearance. During the 19th century the church was however already quite dilapidated and therefore proceeded to its reconstruction, financed folk collection. The work was completed in 1855 and the church was celebrated solemn mass. In the 20 years of the 20th century it was repaired damaged vault.
The church is built of broken stone. It is a small building with a polygonal presbytery, trojlodím big box with a low cross vault and a square bell tower. The bell tower is about four meters stone building with a wooden floor. Chancel and nave are divided triumphal arch. The main altar dedicated to St. Catherine comes from the 1710th
The church is still the original paintings, which were discovered during later renovations, as well as the wooden statue of St. Catherine from the 15th century. On the inner walls of the church were uncovered many ancient pilgrimage signs. Also striking is the absence of figurative paintings in the space of the church.
The church is originally a graveyard, but that was canceled in 1581 and the end of the 19th century moved.
Regular church services are celebrated on Saturday, in recent years, the church is opened within the popular Night of Churches.
In pobelohorsky time the church has become a popular place of pilgrimage. He was also associated with many miracles and healings, which were reminders using plaques. In the 17th century it is well documented presence of inhabited hermitage.
The importance of St. Catherine as a place of pilgrimage evidenced by the presence of the Roman papal breve of 1733 that guarantees the granting of indulgences to pilgrims visiting the church.
The tradition of pilgrimages was preserved until the present day. They are held in the summer around the feast of Saints Cyril and Methodius Day in November at St. Catherine.
Surrounding the creation of the church appeared many uncertainties. The quality and character of the building not fully comply with the simple rural church; It is a building with a challenging layout and decor. It is possible that the church could be built for any significant purpose. This could also suggest the existence of a tomb located under the floor of the church. It was uncovered during repairs in the first half of the 19th century, it was, however, found only a few damaged wooden coffins. We do not know whom the tomb was originally intended
