Kostel sv. Kateriny stojí na ostrohu v obci Šebrov-Katerina v cásti Svatá Katerina, 4,5 km jihozápadne od Blanska. Jedná se o pozdne gotický kostel z druhé poloviny 15. stol. s puvodními nástennými malbami a barokním zarízením.
odivuhodná stavba v malebné krajine a v dokonalé pozici: tak by se dalo ríci o tomto kostelu. Jedná se skutecne o malý zázrak, který leckterého kunsthistorika muže privést k orgasmu. Vždyt kolik je v Cechách a na Morave dochováno staveb z období pozdní gotiky v témer puvodní podobe? A v tak dokonale zachovaném kontextu? V tomto prípade na kopci uprostred vesnice. Krásných detailu obsahuje tato stavba mnoho: jsou to kamenná ostení oken, portálu, kamenný sanktuár a klenební žebra, ale i malované konsekracní kríže a nápisy na zdech, restaurovaná malba na kamenných žebrech. Zaujme rovnež tocité kamenné schodište na kruchtu i závora hlavních dverí. Mužeme pouze litovat nepuvodní podlahy, lavic a závory provizorne sbitou z prken.
Výtvarná roven puvodních kamenných prvku je jinak druhoradá, nicméne stylove zajímavá. Zrejme se jedná o "bokovku" nekolika kameníku z vetší huti - dala by se predpokládat hut od sv. Jakuba v Brne.
Zajímavý je fakt, že ac se jedná o drobnou stavbu, je lod kostela provedena jako trojlodí - ovšem typicky sínové.
Podle povesti mel na tomto míste kázat sv. Cyril a Metodej a jako upomínka na to zde byl vybudován kostel.
Soucasný kostel sv. Kateriny pochází z 15. stol; alespon na to poukazuje nápis, který se dochoval na stene postranního oltáre: "A Doni MCCCCLXIX" (1469).
Kostel je malý, s jednou lodí, s menším presbytárem a nízkou drevenou zvonicí. Má malá gotická okna a krížová klenutí s žebry ukoncenými hlavicemi, na nichž jsou zvláštním zpusobem utvárené kríže. Na prední strane kuru, obrácené proti hlavnímu oltári, lze videt jednotlivá písmena nápisu psaného starými literami, z nichž slova"(Petr)us et Paulus" jsou ješte citelná a ukazují, že puvodní chrám byl zasvecen sv.Petru a Pavlu a teprve po obnovení zasvecen sv. Katerine. Na podlaze levého predního rohu lodi leží velký náhrobní kámen, který má uzavírat vchod do krypty ležící pod kostelem. Na drevené veži byly dríve dva zvony z roku 1570 a 1689. Zed kolem kostela se zdá být o mnoho starší než sám dnešní kostel; sloužila pravdepodobne jako opevnení puvodního dreveného kostela.

St. Catherine stands on a promontory in the village Šebrov-Catherine St. Catherine in section, 4.5 km southwest of Blanska. It is a late Gothic church from the second half of the 15th century. with original murals and Baroque décor.

Beautiful detail, this building contains many: they are stone window jambs, portals, stone sanctuary and the vault ribs, but also painted consecration crosses and inscriptions on the walls, restored painting on stone ribs. Also attracts spiral stone staircase to the loft and bolt the front door. We can only regret not original floors, benches and gates temporarily sbit planks.
Art par with the original stone elements is otherwise secondary, but stylistically interesting. Apparently it is a "SIDEWAYS" several stonemasons from higher smelter - she would assume smelter by sv. James in Brno.
Interesting is the fact that although it is a small building, the nave of the church as a nave - but typical atrial.
According to legend, in this place to preach Vol. Cyril and Methodius, and as a reminder of what a church was built here.
The current church. Catherine dates from the 15th century; at least it shows an inscription that has been preserved on the wall side of the altar: "And Doni MCCCCLXIX" (1469).
The church is small, with one ship, a smaller presbytery and a low wooden belfry. It has a small Gothic windows and cross vault with ribs discontinued capitals, on which are specially shaped cross. On the front of the choir, turned against the main altar, you can see the letters of the inscription written in letters of old, from which the word "(Peter) et us Paulus" are still readable and show that the original temple was dedicated to St. Peter and Paul, and only after restoration dedicated to St. Catherine. On the floor of the left front corner of the boat is a large tombstone, which is to conclude the entrance to the crypt located under the church. On the wooden tower was formerly two bells from 1570 and 1689. The wall around the church seems to be much older than the church itself today; probably served as a fortification of the original wooden church.
