Located in the Northeast Corner of Mesa, Arizona, the Red Mountain Mining Company has been producing crushed granite products since 1973. The quarry has been in operation under various names since 1961. Crushed granite is a popular local mulch as it is impervious to ultraviolet radiation that quickly destroys other types of mulch. They feature two colors of granite, rip rap for water flow control, and granite boulders for landscaping decoration.
