At the municipal boundary between Dedham and Bucksport is a stone marker just off the road.
The marker is located on the east side of Maine Route 46, near a house, and on the edge of tall grass. It is about 15 feet from a sign also marking the town line, with text saying, "Town Line Entering Dedham" on one side and "Town Line Entering Bucksport" on the other.
The post is a stone structure about two feet high. "B" is on one side and "D" is on another. A small pebble rests on top.
I don't know when this monument was placed. Dedham, Maine, was incorporated in 1837. Bucksport
